Hi, I'm Tait Preis (pronounced Tyt Price), a self-taught painter who started painting in 2020 to prove that creativity isn't reserved for people with formal training.

This picture of me is in Florence, Italy enjoying an Affogato. Espresso and Ice Cream are two of my favorite things.

When I'm not covered in paint, I'm probably chasing a new idea, rearranging my studio, or convincing myself I only need one more art supply.

My favorite color is turquoise, my lucky number is 4, and I believe curiosity is far more important than perfection.

I share my work, and the sometimes messy process of figuring it all out, as a reminder that you don't need permission, a degree, or even a perfect plan to make art. You just have to start.

My hope is that I inspire you to create...even if you have no idea what you are doing yet!
